VOL.II   THURSDAY MAY 31 1849  NO.4

FEARFUL MORTALITY--The most fearful instance of mortality caused 
by the Cholera that has ever come to our knowledge occurred on the 
plantation of MR.JAMES MILLER of Waterproff,La.,during the past few 
days.We have been credibly informed that thirty-nine out of forty 
negroes on the plantation have died. Natchez Courier.

NOTICE--The uindersigned Trustee for the heirs of MARY ANN WHITE,
dec'd,will not be responsible for any debts or liabilities,incurred 
for the benefit or use of either of said heirs,unless made by myself 
in person,or by my written order.May 31,1849. DOLLY GORDON.
