FRAZIER, Called by Death Was a prominent farmer of the Godwin section, eighty-seven years old John A. FRAZIER, died at the home of his sister, Mr. W.J. Sellers on the Theta Pike this morning at six o'clock. Mr. Frazier was eight-seven years old, living most of his life in the Godwin section. He was held in high esteem by all that knew him and his death is a source of grief to all. He is survived by the following children: Mrs Will SELLERS, Will T. FRAZIER, Charlie M. FRAZIER, S. F. FRAZIER, and Forgey FRAZIER, all of the Godwin section, and Jno. Frazier of Columbia. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Godwin's Chappel, conducted by Rev. Wait. Mr Frazier has been for years a devout member of the Methodist church and had a large number of relatives and friends in the county. He was a successful farmer and a good citizen. The stewards of the church will act as pall bearers. Oakes and Nichols, funeral directors on charge. The Daily Herald (reel 479) Columbia, Maury County, TN Forgey FRASER, Retired Farmer, Dies at Home Forgey FRASER, 84, retired Maury County Farmer, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at his home on Carter Street. He had been in poor health for some time. A son of the later John and Arentha BUTTS FRASER, he was a lifelong resident of Maury County. Mr. FRASER spent most of his life in the Knob Creek community but moved to Columbia about 15 year ago. His wife, Mr. Eleto Mae COGGIN FRASER, died in 1949. The body is at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2:30 pm., Wednesday by the Rev. W. Stockman. Survivors arae two daughters, Mr. W.E. MANGRUM and Mr. G.E. SPARKMAN of Columbia; five sons, H.C. FRASER of Birmingham, R.C. FRASER of Knob Creek and Dick, W.C. and Fulton FRASER of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Will SELLERS of the Theta Pike; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbears will be Doyle SULLIVAN, D.O. PRIEST, Gordon AMMONS, Elmer WARF, Joe REED and Ernest HAYWOOD. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom BROWN, Ross WHITLEY, DR. Bob THOMPSON, C.M. PINKERTON, J.W. The Daily Herald Columbia, Maury County, TN Leto FRASER, Funeral for Mrs. Leto Mary COGGIN Fraser, 75, wife of Forgey Fraser died last night at her home on Carter St., following a week's illiness will be held at 5 p.m today at Oakes and Nichols funeral home. The Rev. James Brewer will officiate and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery Mrs. Fraser, a daughter of the later M.A. and Melissa McDonald COGGIN, was a native of Maury County and a member of the First Baptist church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.E. MANGRUM, of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. G.E. Sparkman of Columbia, five sons, Hollis Fraser of Birmingham, Dick, Raymond. W.C. and Fulton Fraser , all of Columbia; nine grandchildren and one great –grandchild; one sister, Mrs. H. B. Harris of Columbia; four brothers, J.C. COGGIN Sr., of Columbia, Cooper COGGIN of Lewisburg, Herbert COGGIN of Maury County and Malohn COGGIN of Nashville. Hollis C. FRASER, 79, of 123 69th St. North, who died Friday, was a native of Columbia, Tenn. He was a member of 66th Street Baptist Church and was a life deacon of the church. He was a member of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class and was retired from the First National Bank. Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Roebuck Chapel, with burial in Forest Hill. Survivors include hs wife, Mrs. Annie Laurie Fraser; two sons, Hollis C. Fraser Jr., Tylertown, Miss, and Owen WILLIAMS, Birmingham, a daughter, Mrs. Frances Storey, Birmingham, and three brothers, R.C.Fraser, W.C.Fraser and Fulton Fraser, all of Columbia, Tenn. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
