G.W. Kirksey    }    This Indenture made and entered into this
    Deed        }    the fifth day of February in the year of our
A.J. Kirksey    }    Lord, one thousand eight hundred and
                     fifty nine between G.W. Kirksey of the one
part and A.J. Kirksey of the other part both of the county of 
McMinn and State of Tennessee witneseth that I the said G.W.
Kirksey for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dol
lars to one in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged
hath bargained and sold and by these presents do sell and convey to
the said A.J. Kirksey a certain tract or parcel of land contain
ing one hundred and twenty acres being in the said county of Mc
Minn in the Hiwassee District situate in the first range west
of the Meridian Sixth township twelfth Section and the South
East quarter and with its appurtenances to have and to hold 
the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to Said
A.J. Kirksey and his heirs forever----
 
In testimony where of I have here unto set my hand and 
Seal the date above written.  }

State of Tennessee }  personally appeared before me Wm. George
McMinn County      }  Clerk of the County Court of the County &
                      State aforesaid B.P. Cobb & J.R. Ware the
two Subscribing witnesses who after being duly sworn by me
appeared and said they were personally acquainted with the said G.W.
Kirksey the grantor 7 that he acknowledged the due execution
of the same on the day it bears date and for the purpose those
in contained Witness my hand at office in Athens this the

McMinn County      }     then was the foregoing deed of Conveyance
                         and Clerks Certificate recd. at 1 pm and
                         noted in note book on page 128 and
