The last Will and Testament of Samuel Dickey of McMinn County and state of Tennysee is as follows: I the said Samuel Dickey being in good health at this time but Knowing that it is appointed to all men once to die do make this my last Will and Testament first I give my soul to God who give it and my body to the dust to be buried in a decent manner the expense to be paid out of my estate and all my Just Debts discharged then in the second place I allow my wife her maintenance of the plantation on which I now live while she lives with one end of the house also one sorrel mare and all my sheep with all the house hold furniture to be divided and disposed off as she may think proper as to my present stock of Cattle and hogs I allow them to be equally divided between my wife my youngest son Samuel H. Dickey and my two single Daughters viz Rebecca L Dickey and Nancy M Dickey. The plantation on which I live I allow for my Son Samuel H Dickey at my death to be his in fee simple with the incumbrance of his mothers maintenance her life time. Also I allow my Clock or time piece to the said S. H. Dickey with all my working tools of every description as to Cash or Cash notes I may have on hand at my death I allow to be divided in the following manner viz one Hundred Dollars to my wife with the Legacy left her in North Carolina by her sister Ann Houston to be disposed of at her pleasure. Fifty Dollars to S. H.
