McMINN COUNTY, TN - WILLS - Richard Talant, 5 May 1832 ----¤¤¤---- In the name of God amen, I Richard Talant of the County of McMinn and State of Tennessee being weak in Body but of Sound Mind and memory do this fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty two make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following to wit: first of all it is my will that all of my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. I give and bequeath unto my Loving wife Sarah all of the house hold property and farming utensils, also one bay Mare and all the Stock accept one Sorrell Filly I give to My Son James Talant. also I will to my Son James Talant one bed and Furniture. further it is My will that my loving wife Sarah have the desposal of the above named property at her pleasure futher it is My will that my wife Sarah have a decent maintenance of my plantation and I also give and bequeath unto my other Sons Enoch Talant, John Tallant and James Tallant my land to be eaqually divided among them and I give and it is my will that William Tallant, Thomas Tallant, Lidia Wasson and Minty Hankins recieve one dollar Each and also Jane Fisher I give the Sum of one dollar and lastly I do nominate and appoint my Loving wife Sarah Tallant and my Son Executors of this my last will and testament Revoking all other wills by me Made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and date above wirtten Signed Sealed published and delived in presence of us.
