McMINN COUNTY, TN - WILLS - Lewis Triplett, 29 May 1838 ----¤¤¤---- Will Book C page 51 and 113 I, Lewis Triplett of the County of McMinn and State of Tennessee being sick and knowing that it is _______ for all men and to die being in my perfect mind do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows: First I wish all my just debts paid out of my property. Second, after my debts are all paid the remainder and my property I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Prudence Triplett to dispose of as she may think proper so long as she may remain a widow. Should she marry, I wish the property then to be divided equally between her and my children her a child part. In witness of this my last will and testament I have here unto do set my hand and after my seal this 29th day of May 1838. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us Lewis Triplett (seal) Thomas Vaughn Wm R. Douglas Inventory of Lewis Triplett Estate County court January session 1839. This day Prudence Triplett returned into court an inventory of the property of Lewis Triplett deceased, she being executor of estate. To wit: one wagon and five work steers, one milk cow and calf, one pony, seven thousand pounds of hay, three hundred bushels of corn, forty bushels of oats, two plows, three oxen, five feather beds and furniture, two pair bedsteads, two chests, one table, five chairs, two pots, two ovens, one small kettle, one frying, some cupboard ware, one note of hand on Thomas Holman for twenty six bushels of salt not good.
