Take Highway 57 to Pocahontas. Go South on Pocahontas Road for 1/2 mile. At the fork, take a left on Wolf Pen Road and go 1 and 8/10th miles. Turn at the first left which is Mathis Cemetery Road.The Cemetery is at the end of this road. The cemetery is well kept, on a knoll surrounded by many trees.There are about 80 marked graves and approximately 35 graves with unmarked headstones. . *There are many large beautiful tombstones in place for family members who have not yet deceased.
