R. CAROTHERS & Wife to J. H. CAROTHERS 35 acres For and in consideration of the sum of seventy six dollars in hand paid to us by J. H. CAROTHERS, we have bargained and sold and by these presents do transfer and convey unto the said J. H. CAROTHERS and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in 11[th] Civil District, McNairy County, State of Tennessee, bounded as follows: Beginning at SouthEast corner of my home tract of land, runs North 80 poles to Ash corner, then Wet 70 poles to a stake. Thence South 80 poles to a stake on WILLIAM HARRIS' North boundary line. Thence East 70 poles to the Beginnning, containing 35 acres more or less. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances, estate, title, and interest thereto belonging to the said J. H. CAROTHERS and his heirs and assigns forever. And we do covenant with the said J. H. CAROTHERS that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land in fee simple, have a good right to convey it and the said is unencumbered. And we do covenant and bind ourselves, heirs and representatives to warrant and defend the title to said land to the said J. H.
