[THOMAS] E. DEVAULT to J. P. WILLIAMSON 60 acres Know all men by these presents: That T. E. DEVAULT and wife have this day bargained and sold to J. P. WILLIAMSON for the consideration of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid the following tract of land lying and being in McNairy County, State of Tennessee and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake in the center of the Purdy and Savannah road at the mouth of ditch, runs North about twenty degrees, West 60 poles to a stake in the ditch and sweet gun pointers, then continuing North 8 1/2 degreees, West 94 poles to a spanish oak, dogwood, and two hickory pointers, then North 11 degrees, East 39 1/2 poles to a post oak, hickory and two dogwood pointers on the North line of the West end of G. W. Inman's South line, then West with said line 49 poles to a ..... near G. W. INMAN'S house and a corner of the original tract, then South 76 poes to a post oak stump , the South East corner of G. W. INMAN'S land, then West 30 poles to a hickory and pointers, then South 84 poles to a stake in the creek, then down said creek in an eastern direction 52 poles to the bridge on the Savannah road, then in an Eastern direction with said Purdy and Savannah raod 44 poles to the beginning, containing sixty acres. To have and to hold the same to the said J. P. WILLIAMSON and his heirs forever, we covenant with the said J. P. WILLIAMSON that we are lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to convey the ame and that it is unencumbered in any way and we bind ourselves and heirs to warrant and forever defend the title of the same to the said J.
