This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Contributed by Joanne Baucum ************************************************************************ McNairy County, Tennessee Deed Book M, p. 204 5 September 1873 SOPHIA MOON to ASA BAUCUM 106 acres, Undivided Half Interest I have this day sold and do hereby convey to ASA BAUCUM and his heirs forever for the consideration of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid, a certain tract of land in McNairy County, Tennessee, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake and white oak pointers in the South West corner of Entry Number 2991 in the name of B. CURTIS, runs South 136 poles to a stake and red oak pointers, then East 96 poles to a stake and three maple pointers, then North 59 poles to a stake and two sweetgum pointers on agreed division line between the SIPES and MOON places, then East 34 poles, also an agreed division line between said pointers, then North 70 poles to a stake and two hickory pointers on the North boundary line of the original 200 acre tract, then West 140 poles to the beginning. Also, one other tract, beginning on GEORGE SIPES' South West corner, runs North 33 poles to a hickory and oak pointers, then East 37 [poles] and South 84 poles to a stake in a field, then South 4 poles to a stake in a field, then West 92 poles to the beginning. The two tracts containing 106 acres, but my intention is to convey my equal undivided half of the above land as conveyed to me by WILLIAM S. WISDOM 13 August 1873 in a joint deed with N. C. RIGGS. To have and to hold the same to the said ASA BAUCUM and his heirs forever. I covenant with the said BAUCUM that I am lawfully seized of said lands and have a good right to convey the same and that the same is unencumbered. I do further bind my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of the same to the said BAUCUM and his heirs and assigns forever against all persons whatever.
