Wisdom have this day bargained and Sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Patsey Milton [names inserted in same handwriting above the line: "Amanda J., Satira, Theodore L., Sarah, Rosetta A. & Elzetta P. Milton"] and unto their heirs forever for the consideration of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid 2 Certain tracts of land in McNairy County State of Tennessee in Range 5 & Section 4 & the same Granted to the said E.B. Sewell by Entry No. 2858 and bounded as follows Beginning at the most Western South West corner of Entry No. 1510 in the name of Terry & Wisdom at a stake hickory black & white oak prs. Runs thence West 34 poles to a stake & 2 blackjack prs. Thence West 54 poles to a stake & 2 white oak prs. Thence South 154 poles to a Spanish Oak & 2 black oak pointers Thence East 136 poles to a stake thence North 120 poles to a Stake Spanish oak & hickory pointers the North East corner of E. Butler's Res [sic] thence West 82 poles to the beginning Containing one hundred & thirteen acres be the same more or less the other tract is a part of Sd. Entry No. 1510 in the name of Terry & Wisdom, Beginning at the South West corner No. 1510 Running Thence North 82 poles to a black oak & hickory pr. Thence East 86 poles to a hickory post oak & Blk. Oak prs. Thence South 82 poles to the Spanish oak corner Thence West 86 poles to the beginning Containing by Estimations forty four acres be the same more or less - To have and to hold the same to the said 2 tracts of land to the Said Patsey Milton [names inserted in same handwriting above the line: "Amanda J., Satira, Theodore L., Sarah, Rosetta A. & Elzetta P. Milton"] her heirs and assigns forever We do Covenant with the Said Patsy Milton [phrase inserted in same handwriting above the line: "and her children above named"] that we are lawfully seized of said land land [sic] having a good right to convey it and the same is unincumbered [sic]. We do further covenant and bind ourselves our heirs and Representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said Martha Patsey Milton [phrase inserted in same handwriting above the line: "and her children above named"] their heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons whatever this 28th day of January 1853.
