TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETINGS:



KNOW YE, that for and in consideration of the sum of the FEES of OFFICE, paid 

into the Office of the Entrymaker of McNairy County, and entered on the 30th 

day of August 1849 pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the General 

Assembly of said State, passed 2nd day of November 1847, by No. 2833



THERE IS GRANTED by the said State of Tennessee, unto the heirs of Thomas 

McCann a certain tract or parcel of land, containing 338 acres by survey, 

bearing date the 20th day of August 1849 lying in said county.



Beginning at a stake the N.W. (corner) of Entry # 1285 in the names of Bell & 

Brassfield Survey. South 100 poles to a blackjack & post oak (corner). Then 

west 120 poles to a blackjack & 2 blackjack (corner). Then north 142 poles to 

a stake (corner) Then west 72 poles to a post oak & 2 red oak (corner) Then 

north 127 poles to a stake & 3 post oak (corner) Then east 252 poles to a 

stake & 2 red oak (corner). Then south 35 (poles)to a red oak (corner). Then 

east 40 poles to a red oak & white oak (corner). Then south 124 poles to a 

black & 2 blackjack (corner). Then west 100 poles to the beginning.



With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract 

or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the heirs of Thomas McCann and 

their heirs forever.



IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Andrew Johnson, Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath 

hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at 

Nashville, on the 1st day of December in the year of our Lord, One Thousand 

Eight Hundred and Fifty-four and of the Independance of the United State, the 

79th (year).
