S. WISDOM Executors to WILEY BAUCUM 238 acres We, JOHN H. DUKE, C. SCHULL, D. M. AND JOHN L. WISDOM, executors of WILLIAM S. WISDOM, by virtue of the power vested by his last will and testament on the 6thday of February 1871, hereby transfer and convey to WILEY BAUCUM and his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of sixteen hundred dollars and --- cents, paid to us, the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged, a certain piece of land, bounded as follows: Lying and being in McNairy County, Tennessee, begins at a stake, post oak, black jack pointers 158 [poles] East of the most Northern NorthWest corner of Entry Number ---- in the name of JOHN BELL, runs West 162 poles to a stake, hickory and black oak pointers, then South 28 poles to a hickory and 2 hickory pointers, then West 18 poles to a stake and 2 hickory pointers, then West 16 poles to a stake and 3 hickory pointers, then North 16 poles to 3 oak and 3 hickory pointers, then West 6 poles to a stake and hickory pointers, then North 14 poles to a stake and 2 hickory pointers, then West 56 poles to a hickory, post oak, and hickory pointers, then North 152 poles to a black oak, hickory and 2 black oak pointers, then East 70 poles to a stake, black oak, and 2 black jack pointers, then South 52 poles to a hickory and 2 hickory pointers, then East 122 poles to a stake, black oak and 2 black jack pointers, then South 66 poles to a stake, post oak, and 2 black jack pointers, then East 66 poles to a stake, post oak, and black oak pointers, then South 106 poles to the beginning, being the same land that was granted to JOHN KIRBY by the state of Tennessee on the 29th of September 1847 by virtue of Entry Number 3974 and by him conveyed to WILLIAM S. WISDOM the 16th day of February 1871, containing 238 acres more or less. The title of which land we hereby bind the heirs of said WILLIAM S. WISDOM and forever defend to the same WILEY BAUCUM, his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, as fully and effectively as they could be bound by the said WILLIAM S.
