Chester County Independent January 9, 1930
Selmer, Tenn., Jan. 3 - Mrs. J.M. DICKSON, who lives in Southern McNairy County, 
is 93 years old today.  She was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, moving to this 
county when eight years old.  Aunt Nicie, as she is known to her host of admiring 
friends, has lived a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  She 
and her husband who is past 94 were married August 1862. Both are remarkably 
preserved for their advanced years; they enjoy conversation and association with 
friends.  They are the oldest couple in this section. They have six living 
children, 39 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Mrs. DICKSON was the 
honored guest at a sumptuous family dinner where she received many 
congratulations.  She is the fourth oldest person in this county.
