He had spent the greater portion of his life among us. He chose for his life companion a woman reared in our mist. He reared his family among us. Our interest for many long years were his, and his were ours. We believed in him because of his honesty and uprightness. We trusted him as our friend, and we found him worthy of our confidence. In his death, we realize that we have lost a devoted member of our fraternity. He was faithful to his obligations as a mason, and acted with his brethren as well as the world upon the square. Therefore, Be It Resolved by Rose reek Lodge of A.F.& A. M. No. 480, that we have lost one of our most loyal members, and that we deeply deplore that loss, and that we deeply deplore that loss, and that we hereby highly resolve that his death shall cause us to ever remember his noble traits and that his upright life may constrain us to walk uprightly before God and men. Be It Resolved further, That we humbly bow to that divine decree which summoned Brother Teague into the presence of the Grand Master of the Universe, where, in that Grand Lodge above perpetual designs of peace, happiness and joy are ever upon the trestle board, and that in his administration of divine providence, we may be so resigned that we can cheerfully say, "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Be It Resolved further, That in the loss of Brother Teague the community loses also an upright citizen, the wife a devoted husband and his children a wise, kind and indulgent father, and that we tender to his bereaved wife, his children and his host of friends and relatives our deepest sympathy in this sad hour of death. Be It Resolved further, That these resolution be spread upon the minutes of our lodge, a copy furnished to the widow, and that they be publish d in the columns of the McNairy County Independent. Adopted, Saturday, September 9, 1911. W. W. Robinson, D. R. Cothran, J. M. Robinson, Committee. B. L. Moore, Secretary Rose Creek Lodge, No. 480 DAISY EVELINE PRATHER McNairy County Independent, October 5, 1911 Daisy Eveline Prather, daughter of Tommie and Monie Prather, was born July 12 1907, and died Sept. 27, 1911, age 4 years, 2month, 15 days. While the father was gone for the doctor, little Daisy's spirit slipped away to join the angel band. She was a sweet spirited child, kind and friendly to everyone, the pride and joy of her grandparents home. She was only sick a day or two, when the Lord said: "It is enough; come up higher." We would say to the broken hearted parents: Weep not as those who have no hope", Lord Jesus has said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Her body was laid to rest at Pleasant Grove, the family burying ground, after a short funeral service conducted by the writer. J. B. Maxedon
