THOMAS PRATHER McNairy County Independent May 1, 1914 Died -- Wednesday morning, April 29, at her home two miles east of Ramer, Mrs. Thomas Prather, aged about 66 years. She had been sorely afflicted for months, and her death was not unexpected. She was buried Thursday in the Mt. Vernon cemetery. She was a sister of T. Chambers and the mother of Geo. Prather, chairman of the county court; also the mother of several other grown sons and daughters, among them being Mrs. S. W. Gooch of Selmer. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Mt. Vernon and a woman of sterling worth, and will be sadly missed by the community. She leaves in addition to her children her husband Thomas Prather. To the bereft family we extend our sincere condolence.
