Contributed by Joanne Baucum ************************************************************************ McNairy County, Tennessee Will Book, p. 36 April 1881 Last Will of RANSOM BAUCOM, Deceased [Note: RANSOM BAUCOM (22 Mar 1802 NC - 10 Mar 1881 TN) was the son of JAMES BAUCOM and SARAH ROGERS, and the brother of ASA ABRAHAM BAUCUM.] I, RANSOM BAUCOM, of the County of McNairy, State of Tennessee, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void any other will made at any other time herbeare. 1st. I desire my debts be paid together with my funeral expenses. 2nd. I give to SARA SAFRONY BAUCOM, my horse and one calf and one fourth of what money I may have. 3rd. I give NANCY JANE BAUCOM, my cow and one fourth of what money I may have. 4th. RILLA ANN [BAUCOM] ROSS, my bridle and one fourth of what moneys I may have. 5th. I give ROADA [RHODA] CAROLINE [BAUCOM] HILL my Feather Bed. 6th. I want LEAVI [LEVI] BAUCOM to have my saddle and salt bags, together with my wearing clothes. 7th. I want MARTHA MATILDA BAUCOM to have one fourth part of what money I may have. 8th. I appoint JOHN M. ROSS my Executor to see and have all of my requests and bequests carried out as I desire it should be done, so Witness Set My Seal. LIPFORD The above will of RANSOM BAUCOM was presented in open court at its April Term 1881 and JOHN L. SMITH and J. H.
