Chammess deceased State of Tennessee McNairy County I William C. Chammess of said county and state being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me made at any time. 1st I desire and request that my Funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as possible after my death. 2nd I direct that all my just debts be paid out of my estate by my executor as soon as possible after my death. 3rd I will and bequeath to my wife Mary A. Chammess all my estate both personal and real estate. The real estate is to be and remain in her possession during her life or as long as she remains a widow or in case of her death or marriage then and in that event the said real estate is to become the property of my 2 grand sons William T. & Bruce C. Chammess both citizens of Conway Co. Ark. and my brother Ephram Chammess of McNairy County Tennessee to be equally divided between the above named two Grand children and my brother Ephram Chammess. 4th I direct that my wife Mary A. Chammess be made executrix of this my last will and request that she enter upon the duties of said executorship without giving bond. Signed in the presents of B.C. Barnes, Robert Turner and Asa Bell and I requested them to subscribe their names as witnesses. This the 12th day of July 1897. W.C. Chammess was presented in open court came B.C. Barnes and Robt Turner witness who testified touching same and upon said testimony said will is ordered set up in common form of law.
