First I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as early as possible after my death that I direct paid. Second I give to my oldest son Elijah Hurst and my second son Jacob Hurst my John Fish Tract of land lying on the waters of C___ Kreek. Thirdly I give to my oldest daughter Orleana Holmes the tract of land when they now living known as a part of the old Deaton land. Fourthly I give to my son Sinet Y. Hurst 80 acres off of the South West Corner of my home place known as the Old John Vaughn tract of land Fifthly I give to my daughter Mary Ann Hurst 80 acres off of the East end of my home place known as the Old John Vaughn place. Sixthly I give to my son Elza Hurst all the balance of my home place known as the Old Vaughn tract of land. I ordain and direct that my wife Sarah Lucretia Hurst have a home on said land during her natural life or widowhood. I also will and direct that my wife Sarah Lucretia Hurst have my Iron Gray and Sorrel Horse and large wagon and all my Shop & Stock hogs and my Red Cow and her side Saddle and all her Household and kitchen furniture that she is now siezed of. Seventhly I will to my Illegitimate son James M. Hurst 60 acres land off of the South end of my Spiry tract of land. Eighth I give to my Illegitimate daughter Harriet Hurst my Illegitimate son Monroe Hurst my tract of land known as the Obed Coats land . I also will and direct to my Illegitimate son James M. Hurst & to my Illegitimate daughter Harriet Hurst & to my Illegitimate son Monroe Hurst and they have my yellow cow & my mot Heifer. I also order and direct that Lucy F. Goodman the mother of James M. Hurst Harriet & Monroe Hurst to have a house on said Coats land until her youngest son Monroe Hurst becomes Twenty one years of age or as long as she remains single. Ninth and lastly I nominate and appoint my son Elijah Hurst & Sinet Y. Hurst my Executors to this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this the 13th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred & seventy three Elza Hurst (his mark) The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Elza Hurst in our presents and acknowledged by here to each of us and he at the same time published and declared the above and foregoing instrument so subscribed to be his last Will and Testament and we at the said Testators request and in his presents signed our names as witnesses herein to and written opposite our names of respective place of residents on this the 13th of January 1873.
