Tn Written: March 4, 1908 LAST WILL OF JOHN D. NULL , DECEASED I, John D. Null do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made. 1st I will and direct that my burial expenses and all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or that may come into the hands of my executors. 2 I will and direct that a monument be erected at my grave , the same to be paid for out of my estate and to cost the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. 3 I will and direct that all of the valid outstanding indebtedness constituting a lien upon the house and lot in Selmer occupied by my late brother W. J. Null at the time of his death and now occupied by his widow Mrs. Mollie Null, be paid by my executors out of my estate. 4 I will and bequeath to my Sisterin-law Mrs. Mollie Null, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. 5 I will and bequeath to my Niece, Mrs. Adelaide Lockman the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. 6 I will and bequeath to my great Nephew, Null D. King, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to be placed in the hands of competent and careful Guardian, and to be expended for his education. I also give and bequeath to my said grand Nephew, Null D. King, my shot-gun, the same to be kept and cared for for him until he is large enough to use it and it is not to be used by any one else in the mean time. 7 I give and bequeath to the Trustees of the Baptist Church at Selmer and their successors in office (or who ever the Proper Officers to receive and apply it may be ) the sum of one Hundred Dollars. 8 I give and bequeath to my half Sister, Mrs. Mary Shannon, the sum of one Hundred Dollars. 9 I give and bequeath to my half Sister Mrs. Nanny Nelms, the sum of One Hundred Dollars. 10 I give and bequeath to my cousin, Mrs. Jennie Goddard of Saulsberry, Tenn. the sum of One Hundred Dollars. 11 I will and direct that of the remainder of my estate the sum of Five Hundred Dollars remain in the hands of the Persons herein after named as my Executors the interest on which, and the Principal if necessary, to be used in caring for and beautifying my grave and the grave of my brother, W.J.Null. 12 I will and direct that the remainder of my estate be divided and distributed amoung the several benificiaries under this will in Proportion to their several bequests as herein before set out. 13 I will and direct that in order to carry the Provisions of this will my Executors hereinafter named, shall have Power and are fully authorized to sell and make title to all the real estate of which I may die siezed and Possessed and I direct that they do this as soon after my death as may be and to the best advantage. 14 I nominate and appoint U.S. Alexander and Albert Gillespie as my Executors to wind up and settle all my business affairs and to carry out the Provisions of this will.
