Turn right on Old Madisonville rd. 2.7 miles to Corn Tassle rd. Left onto Corn Tassle rd. for 3.3 miles. Turn left on road which crosses Notchey Creek after about 1/4 mile and continue for 2.2 miles to Tellico Rd. Left onto Tellico Rd. for about 300 yds. Soak Rd. Left onto Soak Rd. for about 5 miles, right at gravel rd. by red house for 1.3 miles to Lindsay's Cemetery on left. This area is called the Soak Community. Samuel Yates b. 1813 (May be buried at Lindsay's cem. in an unmarked grave, as may be his wife, Elizabeth Kinneman Yates.) Sam Yates Nov. 2, 1842 Oct. 18, 1897 Sam Yates' grave is located by going in through cemetery gate and taking four steps to the left. Then 28 steps to the right. Sam's tombstone is knee high to a man. Mary Yates (wife of Sam Yates, Mary's maiden name was Dailey according to Sarah Yates.) April 1, 1847 March 9, 1898 Mary and Sam share the same tombstone.
