The clerk produced to the court a written compromise in this suit in the words 

and figures following to wit 



To the clerk of the Circuit Court of Monroe County, the suit of Wm Maples vs 

James A ______ & John Griffith has been this day adjusted and satisfied by the 

said defendants, you will therefore please dismiss said suit from the docket 

on defendants paying or securing the cost, which they have agreed to do
