MRS. L. F. GIBBS DIED AT AGE 83
Funeral Services Will be Conducted Friday Morning
     Mrs. Lue F. Gibbs, 83 years of age, died at 10:30 o'clock at her home, 148 
Stafford Street, following a three months serious illness. She was stricken 
with paralysis last June.
     Funeral rites will be conducted at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning beside the 
grave in the Davidson family cemetery near Hickory Point by the Rev. Fr. Des 
Champs, rector of the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception.
     Mrs. Gibbs a native of Gallatin, Tennessee had lived in Clarksville for 
many years and had scores of friends here. She was born on February 6, 1854 a 
daughter of the late John and Mrs. Louise Sevier Pardue. Her husband John 
Gibbs, died twenty-two years ago.
     Mrs. Gibbs was baptised in the Catholic Church at Bowling Green KY and was 
a sincere and devoted Christian.
     Surviving are two sons, Sirus M. Gibbs, Clarksville and Curtis Gibbs of 
New Hope, Ky., four daughters, Mrs. Joe Fletcher, Sango, Mrs. Marvin Alley, 
Shady Grove; Mrs. Sam Collier, Hickory Point, and Miss Effie Gibbs, this city; 
four brothers, Lem Pardue, White House, Tenn., George Pardue, Gallatin, Luke 
Pardue, Texas and Mannie Pardue, Allensville, Ky and two sisters, Mrs. Keese 
Alsobrooks, Orlinda, Tenn., and Mrs. Dollie Whitson, Fountain Head, Tenn.

Additional Comments:
Frances "Lougenie" Perdue was born in Sumner Co., TN to John Perdue and Louisa 
Sarver. She married to John Phillip Gibbs ca 1877 in Warren Co., KY.
