Montgomery County, TN, March 1806 Wills and Inventories, Guardian & Bond Books, Vol. A 1797-1810 Know all men by these presents that we Robert SEARCY, Robert NELSON and Charles STEWART all of the county of Montgomery and State of Tennessee are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of the state aforesaid and his successors in office in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars to be paid to the Governor and successors in office or their Assigns which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this twenty fifth day of March 1806. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above Robert SEARCY, administrator of all the Goods and Chattels, rights and credits of William BLANKS, Decd, do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods and chattles, rights and credits of the deceased which have or shall come into the hands Knowledge or possession of my person or persons…? the same do made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into our ensueing County Court the same Goods and Chattles and credits and all other Goods, chattles and credits of the deceased at the time of his death which at any time hereafter come into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him as well and truly administer according to law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just account of all the administration within one year after the date of these presents and the rest and remain of the said goods,chattles and credits which shall be found remaining on the said Administration account the same being first Examined and allowed agreeable to law shall deliver and pay unto said person or persons respectfully as the same shall be are pursuant to the true intent and meaning of the administration and if it shall appear that any Will and Testament was made by the deceased and Executors or Executor shall therein named do Exhibit the same into Court requesting to have it allowed and appoved of accordingly if the said Robert SEARCY thereunto b required do render and deliver the said letters of Administration approbation of such testament being first had and made in our said court then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force in law.
