Johnson 26 acres & 146 2/5 poles, S.B. Finch. Filed June 27, 1899 at 2:05 p.m., and noted in Note Book No.5, page90. Registered July 5, 1899. State of Tennessee, Obion County, I, J.F. Johnson for and in consideration of six humdred and fifty three and 66 2/3 dollars, one hundred and sixty dollars of which is cash in hand the receipt of which is herein acknowledged and the further consideration as herein after mentioned do hereby sell and convey in fee simple to S.B. Finch the following parcel or tract of land. it being in Obion County, Tennessee and in the 11th Civil District and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake the N.W. corner of same and runs East 26 2/3 pls to a stake the N.W. corner of a 3 acre tract belonging to Sam’l Johnson, then south 12 poles to the S.W. corner of the same, then east with same 43 1/3 poles to a stake, then south with C.T.(?) Finch’s W.B. line 54 2/3 poles to a stake. Then west 70 poles to a stake in S.B. Finch’s E.B. line. Then north with said Finch 66 2/3 poles to the beginning and containing 25 acres and 146 2/3 poles. To have and to hold to him the said S.B. Finch his heirs and assigns forever, with appurtenances and all interest thereunto belonging. And I covenant that I am lawfully seized and possessed of said land and that I have a lawful right to convey the same and that it is not encumbered and that I will warrant and defend the title against all persons whomsoever. The said Finch has paid to me one hundred and sixty dollars and executes to me his promissory note bearing even date with this conveyance for $493 66 2/3 four hundred ninety three and 66 2/3 dollars due and payable on the 15th of next October 1899 and to secure its certain payment a lien is retained on the land.
