Reeves I John Green have this day bargained and sold and do hereby convey to Thomas F. Reeves for the sum of Five dollars to me paid and the other considerations hereinafter mentioned 12 head of cattle, stock cattle, one yoke of oxen, one horse, one sow and five figs. But this deed is made for the following use and trust. I am indebted to Thomas F. Reeves by one note of hand dated this February 4, 1857 and due 31st December 1857 for one hundred and sixty two dollars and a half by another note dated 4 February 1857 and due 25th December 1818 for one hundred and sixty two dollars and a half, by another note dated 4 February 1857 and due 25th December 1859 for one hundred and sixty two dollars and a half, but another note dated 4 February 1857 and due 25th December 1860 for one hundred sixty two dollars and a half. There being in all four notes dated and due as above for the sum of $650.00, Now if I should pay the above described notes as they respectively fall due this deed to be void. But if I should not, then the said Thomas F. Reeves as trustee after giving a 10 day notice in these public places in my civil district and neighborhood may expose the above described property to public sale and sell it to the highest bidder for cash and appropriate the proceeds first to the payment of the necessary expenses and cost and secondly to the satisfaction of saw debts and thereby to pay the balance if any there be to me this 22 day of August 1857 John Green (Seal) State of Tennessee Obion County Personally appeared before me Saml.
