Perry Co., TN paper
Ray S. (Snaggie) Bates of Potts Camp, Mississippi were conducted at McDonald 
Funeral Home in Lobelville by Br. S. F. Hester.  Mr. Bates died at Baptist 
Hospital in Memphis of pneumonia after lung surgery.  His parents were Bedford 
and Tabbie Bates.  He is survived by his wife, May Ledbetter Bates and a 
daughter Sheila Coleman of Memphis, a son Blaine Bates of New Albany, Miss and 
3 grandchildren.  He was buried in Leeper Cemetery in Lobelville, TN
