PUTNAM COUNTY, TN - COURT - Magarette Jackson Waive Dower Rights 1923 ----¤¤¤---- Margarette Jackson To Waive Levi Jackson } Know All Men By These Presents, -That I, Margarette Jackson, widow of Levi Jackson, deceased, a resident of the Third Civil District of Putnam County, Tennessee, do hereby and now waive, disclaim and relinquish all of my rights, equities, interest, estate and privileges of every kind and cahracter (sic) in and to the estate, both real and personal, of said Levi Jackson, deceased, accruing by virtue of our marriage and his death and of the marital relation existing between us at the time of his death. It is my express purpose by this instrument and I do hereby and now waive all of my right, claim, privilege and equity of homestead and down in and to the real estate of said Levi Jackson, deceased, and also all of my right and claim to a Year's support as his widow our of his personal estate, and I likewise hereby and new waive all of my right and claim to the exempt personal property of which he died possessed, and also to the right or privilege to administer upon the estate of said Levi Jackson, deceased. I thus waive any and all rights, claims and privileges which accrue or might accrue to me as the widow of said Levi Jackson, deceased, in and to his estate, both real and personal, for the reason that we were married only a little more than two years ago and we only lived together as husband and wife for a period of about one year, and we have not so lived together for more than a year past and were not living together at the time of his death on June 17, 1923, and all of the children of said Levi Jackson, deceased, both those living and the ones that are dead, are or were the children of a deceased sister of mine who was his first wife, and I do not desire, nor do I claim, nor would I receive or accept, any part, share, portion or interest of his estate, real or personal, and I here and new waive all of my rights, interests, claims and privileges in and to and concerning the estate of said Levi Jackson, deceased, both real and personal, and do hereby and now disclaim any interest, right, claim or privilege in and to and concerning the estate, both real and personal, of said Levi Jackson, deceased, and I waive and disclaim any right, estate, interest, or claim in or concerning his estate. It being my purpose by this instrument to expressly waive and disclaim all and every right, equity, estate, interest, benefit and privilege which does or might accrue to me or exist in my favor as the widow of said decedent, and I desire his personal estate administered and his real estate disposed of without any reference whatever to the martial-relation which existed between us.
