Crabtree DDCrab1945@aol.com ==================================================================== Andrew Wassom to deed 130 Acres to William Henry Crabtree I, Andrew Wassom have this day Bargained and sold and to hereby transfer and convey unto William Henry Crabtree and Rebecca Crabtree (formerly Rebecca Wassom) and their heirs forever, for and in consideration of Five Hundred dollars to me paid a certain tract of land in the state of Tennessee and county of Putnam in District no. 1, containing by estimation about one hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows: Beginning at a chestnut the southeast corner of William Crabtree's one hund- red acre tract thence south about seven degrees west forty-eight poles to a chestnut and post oak, thence west about two hundred and thirty poles to a stake opposite the southeast corner of a dne hundred acre tract called the Boon Tract and now owned by Thomas Scarlett, thence north with the East boundary line of said tract and passing the Northeast corner and with the West boundary line of a 600 acre tract entered by Bart L. Stephens to a stake in a white oak, thence East about one hundred eighty poles to the West boundary line of William Crabtree's one hundred acre tract, thence south with the West boundary line of said tract to a Hickory on the Southwest corner of said tract, thence East one hundred and twenty six poles to the beginning excluding ten acres to have and hold the same to the said William Crabtree and Rebecca Crabtree and their hrirs forever.I do covenent with the said William Crabtree states I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unemcumbered. I do further covenent and being myself, my heirs and representatives to Wassoms and forever defend the right to the said land and every part thereof the said William and Rebecca Crabtree their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons what ever this 11th day of January 1871. Wassom There is two hundrew dollars of the within consideration of five hundred dollars donated to Rebecca Crabtree as part of her distributive share of the said Andrew Wassom estate. State of Tennessee, Putnam County, Personally appeared before H. P. Davis, clerk of the county court of said county. J.L. Wassom one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing, and after being duly sworn deposed and said that he was acquainted with Andrew Wassom, Sr and that he ack- nowledged the same in his presence to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained writings.H.
