Tampa, Fl., Hillsborough county, Tuesday, September 4, 2007.
Nathanial Boyd "Slim," Wakefield, 81 died August 29, 2007 with His loving care-

givers, Andrea Rossiter and Glenn Lane, Jr. closely at His side at their 

residence and also under the care of Hospice Pewter team. Slim was born in Hunt-

land, Tenn., Saturday, September 19, 1925 at 8am. to Major and Martha Wakefield.

A resident of Tampa for more than 50 years. Served in the U.S. Army during the

Korean war. Survivors: One Sister, Mary Watton. Preceded in death by two 

Sisters, Ruby Sue and Dorothy. Slim retired from Carrollwood Golf course in 

1990. Slim loved the Lord with all His heart and soul. He met Dr. Hank Lindstrom

in 2006, ultimate joy. Dr. Hank has remained a close friend, since. We hope we

made you proud Slim, Glenn Jr., Andrea, Alyssa, Casey and Little Glenn (your

buddy). Visitation, 6-9pm. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Gonzalez Funeral Home.

Funeral service, 10am. Saturday which was the day of Slim's birth, September 8,

2007 at the Funeral home with military honors as He requested. Gonzalez Funeral

Hospice for the terminally ill. Palliative care is care for illness and pain but

not to try to cure it.
