I first direct that funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any money that I may die, seized, and possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executor. Secondly, I give and bequeath to my son William Peek, a note of about $40.00 that I hold against him. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my son James Peek, a debt of about $40.00 that is due me. Fourthly, I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Peek, a debt of about $40.00 that is due me. Fifthly, I give and bequeath to my son Elijah Peek a debt of about $30.00 that is due me. Sixthly, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Ann $1.00. Seventhly, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Elisa $1.00. Eighthly, I give and bequeath to my grandaughter, Mary Erline, the sum of $1.00. Ninthly, I give and bequeath to my son Robert Peek$1.00. Tenthly, I give and bequeath to my wife & her heirs the remainder of my property. Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint, Celina Peek, my wife, my executor and witness where of I do this my will and my hand this, 31st day of August A.D. 1878. Robert Peek(signed) Attest: C C Craft A P Warren State of Tennessee Putnam County This day they produced in open court a paper written purporting to be the last will and testament of, Robert Peek, Deceased of Putnam County, Tennessee written on two pages of facts and pages. Said will was dated 31st day of August 1878, and signed by the Robert Peek in said will and witnessed by C.C. Craft and A.P. Warren. The subscribing witnesses to said will who appeared in open court. And after being duly sworn by, W.J. Isbell, Clerkof said court deposed and said that they was acquainted with said Robert Peek, the listator to said will in their presence and declaimed the same to be his act and to be his last will and testament and called upon them to subscribe the same as witnesses there to and that they at his request. They, then and there at his home signed their names there to as witnesses to said will. They further state that he has said Robert Peek, the testator, was of sound mind and disposing memory perfectly so, and said will being fully and duly proves the court is pleased to order that the same be recorded in the book of wills.
