RICHARD COOPER



    Richard Cooper applied for revolutionary pension while living in Rhea

County. He enlisted in Essex County, Va., under Lieut. Mosely and served nine

months. He was transferred to Col. Proctor's Artillery and was in the battles of

Brandywine, Monmouth, Guilford Court House and Eutaw Springs. He moved to Rhea

County in 1807.
