He enlisted in the 3rd regiment, Virginia Rragoons, [sic] August 11, 1777, for a three years' term. He was in the battle of Monmouth and the Siege of Charleston. He married March 12, 1782, Jane Boyd who died July 24, 1836. They had ten children among them John B. Walker.
