He lived in Rockwood for many years where he was first Master Mechanic, then 

asst superintendent for Tennessee Products at the old blast furnace. He later 

worked for American machine and Foundry, where hi was given the Man of The 

Year award in 1976. He returned to Tennessee in 1985.
