STATE OF TENNESSEE, ROANE COUNTY

To any regular Minister of the Gospel having the care of Souls, or any Justice 

of the Peace for said County, I, Austin L Green,Clerk of the County Court for 

the County of Roane, do License you, or either of you, to celebrate the RITES 

OF MATRIMONY between Thomas Green and Susan Foster, by uniting them together 

as Husband and Wife. 

Given at office in Kingston the 20th day of December AD 1849 and of American 

Independence the 74
