marriage bond and marriage license
State of Tennessee, Roane County

To any Regular Minister of the Gospel having the care of souls, or any Judge 

or Justice of the Peache for said County, greeting:  I, ?????, Clerk of the 

County Court for the County of Roane, aforesaid, by virtues of the power in me 

vested by Law, do License You, or either of you, to celebrate the Rites of 

Matrimony between Gidon Morgan Boman and Mary E. Giles, by uniting them 

together as HUSBAND and WIFE. 



Given at the office in Kingston the 14 day of May 1864 and of American 

Independence the 88??



I solemnized the Rites of Matrimony between the above named parties on the 

15th day of May 1864.

Additional Comments:
The notice of this marriage appeared in Tennessee Marriages 1851-1900.

I found the bond and license in the Archives in Kingston, Roane County, where 

they made a copy of each for me.  I don't know what the certificate number 

above refers to.
