	WILL OF ELIZABETH HAWKINS

	"In the Name of God, amen!  I, Elizabeth Hawkins, of the County of 
Roane, State of Tennessee, considering the uncertainties of this mortal life 
and being of sound mind and memory, blessed by an Almighty God for the same, 
Do make this my last will and testament and Publish the same in manner and 
form that is to say:

	First I give and bequeath to my beloved son Willis Breazeale, my 
rights to a negro woman, Cate, and her five children, Fancey, Rose, Billie, 
Nance and Lou and one horse, one cow, one bed and part of furniture to him, 
his heirs and assigns.  And I further give and bequeath unto my eldest son, 
Wood Breazeale, one dollar, having previously given him his share of my 
estate.  And I further give and bequeath unto my son, Henry Breazeale, one bed 
and part of the furniture.  And unto my beloved son, Willis, first above 
mentioned -- the residue of my estate and hereby appoint him my sole executor -
- hereby revoking all other and former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of December, in the 
year of our Lord 1810.

Henry named in the above will was Clerk of Court in Roane Co. from 1802 thru 
1836.  Henry was also the father of the well known lawyer, editor and author, 
John William McNairy Breazeale.

Willis named in the above will was as Dr. Willis Breazeale known throughout 
Roane Co.
