Chambers from Moses McCorley Dec 20, 1820 pg 350) This indenture made this twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty between Moses McCorley of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and John P. Chambers of the County of Humphrey of the other part witnesseth that the said Moses McCorley for and in consideration of one thousand and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said John P. Chambers the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed unto the said John P. Chambers his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County of Robertson and State aforesaid on Beaver Dam Creek containing by examination two hundred and twenty five acres it being the same more or less including the plantation whereon the said Moses McCorley now lives Beginning at a red oak David Henry's Southeast corner running thence North with said Henry's line two hundred and twenty six poles to a stake in the barrens said Henry's Northeast corner thence East one hundred and sixty poles to a red oak John Crockett's corner thence South with Crockett's line one hundred and fifty six poles to a hickory thence West with said Crockett's line twenty three poles to a black oak thence South seventy poles to Bukon's line pg 351) West with said line to the place of Beginning to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits, emoluments, hereditaments & appurtenances ___ and to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John P. Chambers his heirs and assigns forever and siad Moses McCorley for himself his heirs, executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and with said John P. Chambers his heirs and assigns the below ___ land and bargained premises he will warrant & forever defend against the rights, title, interest or claim of all and every person whatsoever in witness whereof the said Moses McCorley hath hereunto set his hand and affix his seal the day and year first above written.
