GORDON from GEO. BARBEE, 9th NOV 1825 This indenture made this nineteenth day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty between GEORGE BARBEE of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and ROBERT B. GORDON of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseith that the said GEORGE BARBEE for the love and affection he has towards the said ROBERT B. GORDON hath given granted aliened conveyed and confirmed unto the said ROBERT B. GORDON his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing twenty eight and one fourth acres lying and being in Robertson County on the waters of Red River butted and bounded as follows to wit beginning at a stake the southeast corner of JOSEPH PITTS' twenty eight and one fourth tract running west with said line 124 poles to a red oak thence south 36 2/3 poles to a stake thence east 124 poles to a stake in an old line thence north to the beginning with the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the before mentioned land and bargained premises to the said ROBERT B. GORDON his heirs and assigns forever and the said GEORGE BARBEE for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant promise and agree to and with the said GORDON his heirs and assigns that the before mentioned and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against himself his heirs or any person or persons claiming from or under them in witness whereof the said BARBEE hath hereunto set his hand affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
