Robt GORDON from Bartley PITTS 7th Nov 1825

Know all men by these presents that I Bartley PITTS of the County of Robertson 
and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand and 
Fifty dollars to me in hand paid have bargained sold & delivered to Robert 
GORDON of the County & State aforesaid three negroes named as follows, Hooks a 
woman about 29 years old, Jasper a boy about 4 years and 6 months old, Newton 
a boy about 4 months old and the said Bartley PITTS do warrant and forever 
defend the right of said negroes against the lawful claim of any other person 
or persons.

This Bill of Sale from Bartley PITTS to Robert GORDON was acknowledged in open 
Court by said PITTS to be his act and deed and ordered to be registered.
