Beginning at a post oak about sixty poles east of BARKERs old road opposite to a walnut grove of timber running north to Jesse COBBs corner and with his line two hundred and eighty five poles to a stake thence west two hundred and forty poles to a stake thence south two hundred and eighty five poles to a black oak thence east two hundred and forty poles to the beginning and also another survey adjoining the original Beginning at a stake the north east corner of a survey granted to Martin DUNKIN whereas the said GORDON now lives thence west with the said line two hundred and twelve poles to a hickory thence north forty four poles to two hickories on WILLIS's line thence east with said line sixty eight poles to a stake thence south seven poles to the corner of another survey belonging to said GORDON continuing with his line seventy four and a half poles to his corner 161) at a black Jack thence east with his line passing his corner at sixty poles in all seventy six poles to a stake thence south forty four poles to the beginning also another survey bounded by the original as follows beginning on a black jack on Martin DUNKIN's line nine poles from his north east corner running west with said line sixty poles to a black jack thence north forty seven poles to a black jack thence east forty poles to a stake thence south sixty seven poles to the beginning Also another survey joining the original beginning at a black jack on said GORDONs north west corner on WILLIS's east boundary line running north with said WILLIS's line twenty two poles to a post oak on PAISLEY's line thence east with his line one hundred and forty three poles to the corner stake on the line of another survey belonging to said PAISLEY thence south with said line twenty four poles to the corner hickory thence east with his line forty five poles to a black oak in MASONs line thence south with his line forty six poles to a post oak in EDWARDS' line thence west with his line sixty seven poles to a black oak thence south with said EDWARDS' line twenty eight poles to a stake the corner of said GORDONs twenty five acre survey thence west with said line twenty poles to a black jack thence north with said GORDONs line seventy six poles to a stake his corner thence with his line one hundred and thirteen poles to the beginning with the appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises hereby granted unto the aforesaid Alexander GORDON his heirs & assigns forever and said EAST hath for himself his Executors administrators and assigns doth hereby covenant and agree that he will at all times warrant and defend the said land and premises unto said Alexander GORDON his heirs & assigns forever 162) against the rights title interest or claim of any person or persons whatsoever in Testimony whereof he the said EAST hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day and year first above written sealed & delivered in presence of us Robert GORDON Jeremiah RICE B PITTS as to the hand write of RICE James EAST, seal Robertson County Court August Term 1821 This indenture from James EAST to Alexander GORDON was proven in open Court by the oath of Robert GORDON and of the subscribing witness and the hand writing of Jeremiah RICE the other subscribing witness was proven by the oath of Burwell PITTS and ordered to be registered.
