This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Sharon Smith sharons@axs4u.net ==================================================================== Robertson Co TN Deed Bk F, pg 199-200 Alexander GORDON from Lewis BARKER Aug 9, 1804 This indenture made this ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four between Lewis BARKER of the State of Kentucky and County of Livingston of the one part and Alexander GORDON of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the other part witnesseth that for the consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid to him the said Lewis BARKER the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged hath granted bargained, sold, aliened & conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Robertson County containing two hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in Robertson County on Red River Beginning at the said BARKERs Beginning white oak in the State line running thence South 40 poles to McADOEs line thence East with the said line one hundred and seventy poles to a red oak, thence South with the said line ten poles to a stake and small bushes marked on the said McADOEs line, thence a line agreed on between Joseph McDOWELL and said GORDON, North eighty one and a half, East forty seven poles to two spanish oaks, thence South forty , East thirty two poles to the spring branch, thence South seventy two East crossing the said branch forty five poles to a small cherry tree in the said BARKERs old plantation thence North forty five, East seventy seven poles to a post oak, thence North eighty one and one half, East one hundred poles to a stake in the BARRENs thence with the State line South seventy four, West four hundred and fifty four poles to the Beginning with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and all rents, issues and profits to him belonging or appertaining to have and to hold the said land and premises hereby granted with its appurtenances unto the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lewis BARKER for himself his heirs Executors, administrators doth by these presents warrant and defend the said land and premises to him the said Alexander GORDON his heirs and assigns forever.
