J.F. Grimes to M. Byram 5 Sept 1851

I, Jacob F. Grimes have this day bargained and sold, and do hereby transfer and
convey to Mose Byram & his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of
four hundred dollars [$400] to me paid, a tract of land in the State of
Tennessee, Robertson County District No. 1 on & bounded as follows:

Beginning at a black oak running North 110 poles to a small hickory
Thence West 145 1/2 poles to a white oak
Thence South 110 poles to a post oak.
Thence East 145 1/2 poles to the Beginning

Containing by estimation one hundred acres [100]

To have and to hold the same to the said M. Byram his heirs and assigns forever,
I do covenant with the said Byram that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a
good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered.  I do further
covenant and bind myself, my heirs and representative to Warrant and forever
defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said Byram and
his heirs against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. This 4th day of
Sept 1851

Personally appeared before me Joseph E. Winfield Clr of the County Clerk for
said County
Jacob F. Grimes, the written named bargain or with whom I am personally
acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the written deed for the
purposes their contained.
