Adams of the County of Robertson State of Tennessee, planter, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made. And, first, I direct that my body be decently interred at John F. Adams' place, formerly belonging to David MacMurry, in said county, and in a manner suitable to my condition in life: And as to such wordly estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows : First, I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of any moneys that I may: die possessed of, or may first come into the hands of my execu- tor from any portion of my estate, real or perso- nal I give and bequeath my homestead, situa- ted in the twelfth Civil District of Robertson County Tenn., including dwelling house, Kitchen, house- and Kitchen furniture and a clock, and one third of the land pertaining thereto and joining the lot, also my cow and four heads of hogs to my beloved wife Lucy M. Adams, to hold and to use furing her life time, one third of the land aforesaid I will and bequeath to my son William M. Adams, his heirs and assigns, and one third of the land also one bed and bed-cloths I will and bequeath to my son Jefferson M. Adams, his heirs and assigns. The said Jefferson M. Adams is to take charge of the place and cultivate the land for the use of his mother. My son Daniel C. Adams and my daughters Mary Francis, married to J. M. Morris, and Margaret Tennessee married to James Mayes, I herewith debar and preclude from any portion of my property, they both having received their portions in time past. I do hereby make, ordain and appoint my beloved son Jefferson Monroe Adams, Executor of this my last will and testament. In witness thereof I, Abner R. Adams, said testa- tor, have to this my will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal.
