ROBERTSON COUNTY, TN - WILLS - William Baldry, 1851 ----¤¤¤---- Will of William Baldry, written 1851, probated 1854 in Robertson Co., TN. I William Baldry of the county of Robertson and state of Tennessee do make and publish this my last will and testament. Item 1st My will and desire is that after my death all my just debts be paid by my executors hereinafter appointed in this my last will by sum made and that the balance of any estate both real and personal be disposed of in manner and for in as follows. Item 2 My will and desire is that my four grand children the heirs of Julia Adams have fifty three acres of land described and bounded as follows. Beginning at a double white oak the south east corner of a twenty two acre survey made in the name of W.S. Baldry and in the north boundary line of my seventy acre survey running south seventy eight degrees west thirty poles to a cherry tree, thence north eight poles to a sassafras the northwest corner of my seventy acre survey, thence north fifty six degrees east thirty six poles to two post oaks, the west boundary line of the twenty three acre tract thence north and east so as to include all my same north of the north boundary line of my seventy acre survey and east of the west boundary line of the twenty three acre survey. Item 3 My will and desire is that the heirs of my son John S. Baldry deceased have the tract of land I heretofore gave them. Item 4 My will and desire is that my son W.S. Baldry have all the balance of my estate both real and personal, the reason why I have made the difference between my children is my son W.S. Baldry has been at considerable expense and trouble in keeping and taking care of me and wife since September 1847 and as yet his house ___ I know not how long we may remain in his house nor what trouble and expense he may yet be at before our deaths. Item 5 My desire is that after our deaths ___ four or five ____ neighbors be called together and the facts set before them after which they shall make him a reasonable allowance for all the trouble and expense he has been and may be at in keeping us. Item 6 It is my will and desire that should there be any money in his hands that it has cost to keep us it is to be equally divided between himself and John S. Baldry’s heirs and David Brakefield my son in law. Item 7 I do hereby nominate and appoint W.S. Baldry and James A. Barber my executors to this my last will and testament.
