This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Sharon Smith sharons@axs4u.net ==================================================================== Robertson Co TN Deed Bk S, pg 524-525 Major GREGORY from George BARBEE Nov 19, 1820 pg 524) This indenture made this nineteenth day of Nov in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty between George BARBEE of the County of Robertson and State of Tennessee of the one part and Major GREGORY of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said George BARBEE for the love and affection he bears towards the said Major GREGORY hath given under & aliened conveyed & confirmed unto the said Major his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing twenty eight and one fourth acres lying and being in Robertson County on the waters of Red River butted and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at a stake the Southeast corner of John HOLLANDs fifty acre tract running West with his line one hundred and twenty four poles to a stake in said line thence South thirty six and two third poles to a black oak thence East one hundred and twenty four poles to a stake in John STRICKLINs line thence North with said line thirty six & two third poles to the Beginning North the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the before mentioned land and bargained premises to the said Major GREGORY his heirs and assigns forever and the said George BARBEE for himself his heirs Execrs and Administrators doth hereby covenant promise and agree to and with the said Major GREGORY his heirs and asigns that the before mentioned land & bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against himself his heirs or any person or persons claiming from by or under therrein.
