This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Sharon Smith sharon@axs4u.net ==================================================================== Robertson Co TN Will Bk 11, pg 190 Will of John KRISLE 190) John KRISLE Last Will I John KRISLE being of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following 1st I deposit in the hands of Malachi KRISLE the sum of three hundred dollars for the benefit of my daughter Polly wife of James BENTON for her to draw the lawful interest yearly during her life and at her death the principle to be divided among all her children that is the lawful heirs of her body. 2nd I give to my son Ephraim KRISLE one tract of land valued at three hundred dollars to him and his heirs forever 3rd I give to my son Malachi KRISLE the sum of three hundred dollars to him and his heirs forever 4th I give to my daughter Eliza wife of Abraham M? the sum of three hundred dollars to her and her heirs forever 5th I give to my son John KRISLE one tract of land valued at three hundred dollars to him and his heirs forever 6th I give to my son Archibald KRISLE a tract of land valued at three hundred dollars retaining the right during my life but he has to leave to take possession from this date and use it as his own til my death then to him and his heirs forever Butted and bounded as follows (viz Beginning on a persimmon tree running North to a stake thence West to the Cave branch thence with the meandering of said branch to the back boundary line it being the West end a part of the tract of land I now live on 7th I give to my son Thomas KRISLE the remainder of my tract of land whereon I now live at my death valued at three hundred dollars to him and his heirs forever also one good horse and one choice bed 8th The balance of any Estate at my death it is my will and desire that it shall be equally divided among my seven children share and share about Except the one seventh part to my daughter Polly wife of James BENTON should be deposited in the hands of Ephraim and Malachi KRISLE to pay her the lawful interest thereon during her life and at her death the principle whatever it may be equally divided among all her children. Lastly I constitute and appoint my two sons Ephraim & Malachi KRISLE sole Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any made in witness whereof I have hereunto to set my hand and affixed my seal this 7th day of Jan 1837 Signed sealed published and acknowledged by the above named John KRISLE to be the last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto set our names as Witnesses in the presence of the Testator John KRISLE, his seal Test, Richard W ? William CLARK, his mark Stephen HERRING 191) Robertson County Court June Term 1842 The foregoing last Will and Testament of John KRISLE deceased was presented in open Court for probate and thereupon came Richard W. M? & Stephen HERRING both subscribing witnesses in the foregoing will and both first for it sworn depose and say that they were acquainted with John KRISLE deceased the testator and that he acknowledged in their presence the same to be his last will and testament & that he was at that time in his proper mind.
