Pages 599-601 is the inventory of his estate, page 646 is  a supplemental sale of some of the estate and page 671 & 672 is  the Letter Testamentary of the estate. The  following  is an exact typed copy of the WILL using  the  same spelling, language and etc. found in the original WILL. Notice that the body  of the WILL uses two "d's" in spelling the REDING name but Alfred S. signs his name with one "d". 584 Alfred S Redding Will I  Alfred  S Redding do make and publish this as my last  Will  and Testament hereby  revoking  and making void all other wills  by  me  at anytime  made. First I direct that my funeral Expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of any Monies that I may dies  possessed  of or may first come into the hands  of  my  Executor. Secondly  I  give and bequeath to Samuel F Redding a ceartain  track  of Land Containing One hundred Acres lying in Robertson County Tennessee in District  No 16.  it being the track on Which the Said Alfred S  Redding now resides.  Thirdly I give and bequeath to miles R Redding a  ceartain track  of Land Containing One hundred & Twenty acres lying in  Robertson County  Tennessee in District No 16 and bounded as follows Begining at a Hickory  the South West East corner of said track in G W Freys line  and runs  North  to the last Crossing of the Branch this Side of  the  North East  Corner of said Track or the first Crossing of Said Branch  as  You run  South  from said North East Corner thence With the meanderings  of said  Branch Along its Western Bank to Dornis line thence West to a tall Black  Oak Stump in Said Dornis's line thence South to a fallen  Spanis Oak  in  Said  Freys  line thence East with his line  to  the  begining. Fourthly I will that the residue of my lands be sold by my executor  or cash  at such time and in such manner either privately or publicly as he may  Judge most fit or proper for the best interest of my people and  of my moneys arrising from the sale of Said land I Will and bequeath to  my three Grand  Sons  of George R Redding,  Decd the sum  of  One  hundred Dollars  to each one and the remainder arrising from the sale  of  said land  be  equally divided between All of my Children and also  that  the monies  arising from the Sale of my personal effects or other Claims due me  by  note  or Otherwise be in like maner equally.  And  lastly  I  do nominate and appoint Samuel F Redding & William Hollis my executors.  In Witness  Whereof I do to this my Will Set my hand & Seal this  the  18th day of May in the Year of our Lord 1864 Alfred S Reding Seal Signed sealed & published in our presence Robertson County Court and we have Subscribed our names hereto in the July Term 1864 presence of the Testator This 18th day of May A D 1864 Jas A S Clinard, Joshua Hall The foregoing last Will and Testament of A S Reding Decd Was produced in open Court for Probate and thereupon  J A S Clinard & J Hall the subscribing Witnesses thereto  and by  themselves proven to be the Will of Said decd Whereupon  the  Court declaired   to be last Will and Testament of A S Reding decd and ordered it to be recorded R H Murphy Clk
