David J. WALTON from Wm CAMPBELL

July 15, 1823
pg 186) This indenture made this fifteenth day of July in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and twenty three between William CAMPBELL of the 
State of Tennessee and the County of Robertson of the one part and David 
WALTON of the same County of the other part witnesseth that for and in 
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the 
said WALTON the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold 
and conveyed a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County & 
State aforesaid bounded as follows Viz, Beginning at a post oak the Northeast 
corner of said WALTONs tract of land on which he now lives and running East 
twenty and 2/3 poles to a hickory thence South one hundred and twenty five 
poles to a red oak in said tract line thence West twenty and 2/3 poles to a 
hickory thence North one hundred and twenty five poles to the Beginning and 
containing of sixteen acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the
aforesaid land and with all and singular the rights profits imoluments 
hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise 
appertaining to the only use of him the said David WALTON his heirs and 
assigns forever and the said William CAMPBELL for himself his heirs Executors 
and Administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said David WALTON 
him and his heirs that he will warrant and forever defend against all rights 
titles claims and interests of every person or persons whatever to said land 
In witness whereof I the said William CAMPBELL hath hereunto set my hand and 
affixed my seal this same day and date first above written.
