This day we, Thomas Powell, Jesse Alexander, the committee chosen by Jane 
Donnel mother, and Eliza Donnel the widow (page 191) of Eden Donnel, deceased, 
of the Court of Rutherford and state of Tennessee, to divide the property of 
said Donnel agreeably to his last will and testament, which is as follows, 
viz?  The widow shall have the two cows now giving milk, one red pided heifer, 
eight hogs, two sheep, one bay mare and sixteen dollars & 75 cents out of the 
price of the other horses. 
She shall have what corn is in the ______ the pauses what ______ and oats there 
is in the barn. All the wheat that is cleared and in barrels, the farming tools 
and geers, one asa, two meal Barrels and two hogsheads, All the cupboard and 
kitchen furniture, one side saddle.
She shall have one bed & furniture, the largest folding table, two chairs, two 
spinning wheels & real and all the flax & cotton, one Bible dictionary & the 
looking Glass. When the debt due to the estate are collected & all the demands 
against it is satisfied, she shall have the third of the money remaining.  The 
above we judge to be the widow's third of the property of Eden Donnel, 
deceased. Agreeably to his last will and Testament. In as much as Jane Donnel 
has relinquished the claim to her third of the property to the children of the 
deceased, we deem it unnecessary to proceed any further in the division but to 
leave the remainder of the property in the hands of the administrator to be 
dispersed of for the benefit of the children.  Signed by Thomas Powell and
